Ask our staff : Questions about ballroom shoes

Posted by Aoife Walsh on

Have you got questions about ballroom shoes? Not quite sure what you're looking for? Our team are dancewear experts and they try all the new shoes out when they come in. We like to get a feel for our products so that we can answer your questions to the best of our abilities. I've put together some answers to questions we get asked in stores all the time.

Question 1: I want a low heeled shoe for stability but I don't want something boring! What should I choose?

The BL 502 is the shoe for you. You'll turn heads on the dancefloor in this popular and comfortable shoe from So Danca. The glamorous BL 502 features a sparkle fabric upper and a cushioned insole and lining for incredible comfort. With a 1½ inch heel, suede soles for ease of movement, rubber heel tip for grip and a buckle strap to adjust the fit this shoe combines glamour, stability and comfort. The perfect ballroom shoes for beginners.

Question 2: I'd like something stylish that has a higher heel to elongate my leg lines. What style is right for me?

The Bl 504 is a gorgeous closed-toe shoe that is both elegant and glitzy. Suitable for Ballroom dancing, it features a slightly higher 2½ inch heel, suede soles for glide, a dazzling sparkle finish, and a cushioned insole. The eye-catching open arch design of the BL 504 elongates the leg and features supportive criss-cross straps with a buckle for a perfect fit. The BL 504 ballroom shoe is suitable for beginners and pros alike. This shoe is a top seller and one of the favourites of the entire So Danca ballroom shoe collection.

Question 3: I'd like something really classic and timeless that will go with everything. What do you suggest?

Keep your look glamorous and sophisticated with the BL 126 from So Danca. An understated but immensely flattering closed-toe, satin shoe with both ankle and cross-arch supportive straps. The stylish cross straps wrap around the arch of the foot and ankle for support. This style is suitable for ballroom dancing and features a full suede sole, cushioned insole and 2½” heel. Give your feet the comfort they deserve without sacrificing any of the glamour. This black satin shoe has Hollywood written all over it!

Question 4: Which ballroom dance shoes are the So Danca team's favourite?

My all-time favourite ballroom shoe from the collection is the BL 118! At So Danca, we simply can't resist a bit of shimmer and the BL 118 is glitzy as all hell. Featuring eye-catching glitter canvas fabric and ankle-straps with full buckles for support. The suede sole allows gliding movement on the dancefloor. The elasticated side gussets provide a perfect fit around your metatarsals. This shoe features a 2½ inch heel, a fully cushioned insole and a closed toe to protect you during partnered dances (just in case!). This shoe is a staff favourite at So Danca UK/Ireland; comfortable, glamorous and stylish and available in two stunning colours.
